Emergency Response
Good Morning Varick Memorial,
I am activating our Emergency Response for the next 24 hours due to inclement weather. At this level The Leader of Leaders will contact all Class Leaders and have them contact all the church members in their class to check on their safety and wellness. All of the church members are a member of a class. I am especially concerned about seniors who live alone and whether they have adequate food store, water, heat and are safe. All class leaders need to report back within six hours with an initial report, which indicates whether they were able to contact all members and indicate any needs or concerns. A full report is expected within 12 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
As church officers/leaders, I ask that you also reach out to members and the community-at-large, especially seniors, the homeless, and families living in rough conditions with small children.
I am not asking anyone to go outside in these conditions and will evaluate the options should any need arise.
